ROW check in Sunday July 21

I'm happily writing upwards of 5000 words per day, but still not writing my own work. Not sure if it's because I don't see an immediate return on investment. If I write for a client, they pay me...if I write 5000 words for myself...well...

Maybe I should pay myself. And not with chocolate...but in cold hard cash. Hmmm....have to ponder that idea.

(I also had a stupid redirect virus for a week that sends me off to strange sites when I try to access my Blogger blog...I think I have that removed now. At least I can, I hope, copy the URL and post this update.)

Personally I think paying yourself in chocolate sounds like a brilliant idea :D

It can be hard to give our own work time when we know doing similar work for someone else can get us money. What are the payoffs for writing your own work? Why do you want to do it, and what will you get out of it? Maybe if you can start looking at the non-monetary benefits of your own writing you can shift your perspective. Good luck!

Also, I was getting the redirect when I tried to link through here from the Linky on the ROW80 blog, but then I was able to get to your post by coming from your blog's main page. Thought you would want to know.

Have a great week!
